Summary : Any Night....Maxwell "U" did it again.....
I waited patiently for Maxwell to lay some tracks and return to his dedicated Fans....Maxwell is the kind of artist that either you appreciate how he delivers his music or not....But,who could not appreciate his music, and OMG in person is un-believeable.
This piece is exactly what I'd expected.He has definately changed,in a good way.I'm selfish as many he did away with the hair.Nobody had that natural look.He stood out with style and talent.
Still his voice cannot be described.[It's in a class of it's own.]I simply know I love it,and Black Summer's Night is added to the chain of his heart-filled music.I will always BUY ANY THING HE SINGS.EVEN IF HE SINGS THE PHONE BOOK...Nobody in that Industry can wear a suit like him and Eric.Super Fine Men....

Summary : 1st purchase of a Maxwell Cd. Glad I Did! ! !
I came to know of Maxwell when he put out " Fortunate" back in the day. It was definately a one of a kind soul or neo-soul song. This happens to be the first time I have purchased a full CD of Maxwell and it looks like I should regret that. I should have buying his Cd's a long time ago. His newest Cd is a great listen and there is not even a reason to press the skip button. Well to sum this up I would just go out and pick up his newest or any one of his past Cd's for an hour of great listening pleasure! ! !

This is one of his best cd's, I might be wearing it out. My bigest complaint is that is not long enough needs more tracks.

It's a bit uneven, but has a couple of real gems in "Pretty Wings", and "Bad Habits", both of which are the most touching (and jazziest) R&B I've heard in a while - especially live.

What can I say... I have been a long time fan of Maxwell's. He can do no wrong in my eyes or ears. His vocal genius speaks to my soul and this long-anticipated album does not disappoint. Pretty Wings deserved it's Grammy award and the rest of the album just makes you feel good. My only complaint is that I wish it were a bit longer.
